ADHD / Executive Functioning Coaching
The goal of ADHD coaching is to teach and establish new habits and to teach how to systematically and efficiently modify the environment so that an individual can overcome difficulties due to their ADHD to achieve their goals and succeed at home, at work or school, and socially. The ideal ADHD coaching candidate is either a motivated parent or an older teen or adult also motivated to learn how to succeed despite their ADHD.
ADHD Coaches provide education, teach proven strategies, utilize evidence based behavioral techniques, provide clear and consistent feedback, establish clear expectations and goals, break tasks down to parts, utilize cognitive strategies (i.e. self talk and thinking strategies), and develop appropriate environmental modifications. An ADHD Coach establishes daily behaviors which allow an individual to maintain persistence and motivation towards long term future goals, allowing hopes and dreams to become a reality.
